Center has resumed its activity since 2002 after establishing close
contacts with the Dynasty Foundation headed by Dmitry Zimin (www.dynastyfdn.com).
The new program started in 2003 by supporting 10 postdoctoral and 60 undergraduate
student positions in theoretical physics in Russia. The postdoctoral positions are for
one year with continuation up to three years.
Fellows continue their studies at one of Russian research institutes supported by a
stipend of 15 000 rubles (equivalent of $550) per month (in addition to their basic
income); students receive 2200 rubles per month. Continuation (every year, up to
three years) is approved after an evaluation of annual report.
The selection of candidates is made by the Scientific Council of ICFPM among applicants
via open calls. In 2003, there were 46 applications for postdoctoral positions
and 89 applications for 60 undergraduate student positions.
In 2004 the program was extended to PhD students (50 positions, 111 applications).
Since then these programs have been continued every year at the following rates:

12 grants for doctors of sciences.
Since 2004, the Dynasty Foundation supports conferences in fundamental physics;
selection is again made by the Scientific Council of ICFPM.
The budget was $45,000
in 2004, $100,000 in 2005, $100.000 in 2006 and $100.000 in 2007.
The number of supported conferences was 9 in 2004, 34 in 2005, 40 in 2006 32 in 2007, and 30 in 2008.
